This year we spent the
week after Christmas in Arizona. Just Luke, Eden, my dad and I went down for
the first part. We had all of Tuesday and Wednesday to ourselves! We ate some
great food, did some great shopping, and went to Top Golf. We’ve become big
fans of Top Golf. Eden’s really good, and Franky is really bad haha. Over
Christmas we watched a ton of Star Wars over the break, so there was a lot of
Star Wars was involved with this trip. Three light sabers were purchased and I was
required to set up a Jedi training center. I think I did a pretty good job with
my incredibly limited Jedi knowledge. At one point Luke turned to the dark side
and came out with some Sith Lord makeup that he had done himself. Other than
that, it went pretty well! Jake was also more than willing to participate in
the Star Wars activities. He brought over a FX light saber, which is pretty,
much the greatest saber money can buy. If lights up, makes noise, and just
looks really legit. New Years Eve was really fun! We went to Rosa’s, saw Star
Wars for the second time, and then went home and had s’mores and fireworks! I
love January in Arizona. Franky also did a Jedi training montage to Rocky’s
training music. It was great! It was 70 degrees that weekend, plenty warm for
swimming! We even went in those paddleboats on the lake. I’m glad I know we can
rent those know! All in all it was a great week.
